How many people can I deal with over the First Coverage network?
There is no limit on the number of relationships you maintain on First Coverage.

Is the data my coverage sends me private?
Absolutely. Only the people you permission to send you data can send and only the people they permission to see can see.

What does this product cost for my sell-side brokers to participate?
There is no cost for brokers to participate.

Is First Coverage similar to Marshall Wace internal system?
In certain respects, the two are comparable. However, First Coverage is much more robust and has been designed to let you gather information, meetings, ideas and anything else that might be of interest to you from your sell-side providers. In addition, First Coverage lets you rate information and people based on customized criteria that are unique to you and your firm.

Communicating via First Coverage

How can I communicate with my sales coverage over the First Coverage network?
If you have a question or comment about any information provided to you via First Coverage, you can request more details with a single mouse click.  

As a portfolio manager can I be contacted by anyone?
No. Only the people you choose can send you information.

As a small firm, we don't generate a large commission pool to gain significant attention from the sell side, but we’d use their research and service if we could. Can First Coverage assist with this?
Absolutely. First Coverage has a network of more than 250 firms, including boutique and independent research providers that are eager to send their information to buy side firms including those with smaller trading or research budgets.

Can First Coverage be used to create, track and communicate ideas internally?
Yes, certainly.
The First Coverage platform is flexible enough to accommodate any and all idea sets. We have several clients that use First Coverage to generate, refine, and measure the success of their team’s own ideas. It’s also easy to compare internal idea performance to external performance.

Does anyone else see the ideas that I’m sending to my portfolio manager?
No. At First Coverage, we understand how valuable your ideas are to your firm. Privacy safeguards are built into the system to keep your ideas secure. Only the person you send your ideas too will see them.

Do I need to install software on my system in order to use First Coverage?
No. First Coverage is a web-based product, so there is no software to install or maintain.

How long does it take to get set up?
Set up can happen right away. We’d be happy to provide you with more information.

Does First Coverage integrate with Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes?
Yes. First Coverage integrates with the calendar function of most email programs, including both Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes.
